Dr. Martin Meiller will give a talk on Carbon-Negative Process Chains for Biofuel Production

Fraunhofer UMSICHT will be presenting a talk at Cleanenergy 2026 in Munich. Dr Martin Meiller, Head of the Combustion and Process Heat Department, will speak on Carbon-Negative Process Chains for Biofuel Production.

He is also the organiser and chair of the special session »BECCS: Technologies, Pilot Projects and Regulatory Frameworks«.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT’s objective: to develop combustion technology with extremely low emissions (near-zero emissions) and to establish potentially CO₂-negative bioenergy solutions (negative emission technologies). A key focus of our work is the flexible utilisation of biogenic residues and other waste.
