Fraunhofer UMSICHT is participating in this year's EUBCE 2026 in The Hague (Netherlands) – the world's largest biomass conference and exhibition. Various lectures and poster presentations will be given on topics related to conversion technologies for residual and waste materials and options for processing and further processing the conversion products. You will also gain insights into innovations in oxyfuel combustion.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT will be taking part in ICV2026 in Korea with two talks and several poster presentations.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT is taking part in the Topic-oriented Technical Meeting (TOTeM) 52 – Oxy-fuel combustion and CCUS in Essen. The event is organised by the International Flame Research Foundation. Tim Budick, from the Combustion and Process Heat Department, will present research on oxy-fuel combustion in his poster presentation.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT is participating in AMI Chemical Recycling 2026 in Frankfurt. At the exhibition stand, you will meet Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Franke and Dr. Alexander Hofmann, who are involved in research into recycling technologies and downstream processes, among other things. Fraunhofer UMSICHT is taking part in the Bioeconomy Conference 2026 in Berlin. In his presentation, Robert Daschner, Head of the Thermochemical Conversion Technologies Department, will discuss the successful upscaling of TCR technology for the conversion of biogenic residues.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT is taking part in EEM26, the International Conference on the European Market, in Trondheim, Norway. Shashank Deepak Prabhu, from the Thermochemical Conversion Technologies Department, will speak about a current project focusing on the production of energy carriers via thermochemical conversion (TCC) and the associated impacts on the electricity grid.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT will be presenting a talk at Cleanenergy 2026 in Munich. Dr Martin Meiller, Head of the Combustion and Process Heat Department, will speak on Carbon-Negative Process Chains for Biofuel Production.

Fraunhofer UMSICHT will be presenting a talk at the Textiles Recycling Expo Europe in Brussels. Dr. Thomas Fehn, Head of the Thermochemical Conversion Technologies Group, will be presenting the AUTOLOOP project. Fraunhofer UMSICHT is responsible for the chemical recycling of synthetic textile fibres (PET) into new basic chemicals.
