Application of a novel post-reforming agent for the production of high-value aromatic bulk chemicals
Scientists from Fraunhofer UMSICHT are participating in this year's Advanced Recycling Conference with a trade fair presentation as well as an expert lecture. The lecture by Tobias Rieger presents a possible sustainable approach in which aromatic bulk chemicals can be produced directly from mixed plastic waste.
Chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste by pyrolysis is gaining interest to achieve the political goals for a circular economy for plastics. Tobias Rieger presents the application of a novel and cost-effective post-reforming agent for the production of high-value bulk aromatic chemicals from MSPW pyrolysis oils and their dehalo generation.
